A motion graphic teaser created to build excitement and anticipation for the NFT launch of Thrive on Mars. The goal was to drive engagement through compelling visuals and a strong narrative while managing the project using agile methodologies.

Project Overview

Thrive on Mars (formerly Colonize Mars) sought visually striking NFT teasers to promote their upcoming collection.

In addition to my work on the motion graphics for the NFT teasers, I played a key role in crafting a multi-channel campaign that extended well beyond just the visuals. I oversaw social media management, the creation of player guides, the coordination of podcast production, and the development of animations and videos for promotional events at blockchain conferences in the US. Collaborating with Sean Stewart, a renowned sci-fi writer and Creative Director for Xbox Entertainment Studios, who previously worked at Apple and Magic Leap, I ensured the campaign resonated with the right audience and effectively communicated the project’s lore and vision.

Project Approach

Taking an agile approach, I worked closely with the creative consultants, development team, including the game developer and founder (also a Creative Director at Apple and Magic Leap) and Apeworks Digital team to develop player guides and coordinate the podcast production. I was actively involved in weekly sprint planning, where we prioritised tasks, refined our strategies, and ensured everything was delivered on schedule and aligned with our brand messaging. Tools like Slack, JIRA, and Confluence were key to maintaining seamless communication and tracking progress throughout the project.

Regular check-ins and iterative improvements allowed us to refine the content based on real-time feedback, ensuring it remained clear, engaging, and aligned with the campaign's vision. This approach kept the team agile and focused, ensuring we could adapt to any changes or challenges quickly.

For the promotional assets, I collaborated with motion graphic artists and video producers to create high-quality visuals that captured the essence of the campaign. By maintaining a structured workflow and clear communication, we ensured all assets were executed seamlessly and optimised for blockchain conferences and social media platforms.

The result was a cohesive campaign that amplified audience engagement, strengthened brand positioning, and increased anticipation for the project. Our coordinated efforts across multiple content formats contributed to a successful launch, with high levels of interaction and visibility across various platforms.
